Guided Fly Fishing on the St Mary's River
You'll Never Run Out of Things to Do Horseback ride until your heart's content. Grab your fly fishing gear and hit the St. Mary's river. Join a river rafting trip for the afternoon. Take a long hike and enjoy the scenery. Try 18 holes at one of the local golf courses. Play Bocce Ball or Volleyball on our huge lawn. Or jump in our pool for a refreshing dip before dinner. Go sightseeing; there are lots of interesting places to see and visit within a few hour's drive from Three Bars Guest Ranch.
We offer unlimited riding time or, if you prefer, organized morning and afternoon rides. • The first rides leave the corral right after breakfast and return to the ranch for lunch. • Afternoon rides leave our corrals between 1:00 & 1:30. • Fast rides are offered to experienced riders after one full day of riding at the ranch. • Riding lessons are included in ranch packages • Private and semi-private riding lessons are available at an additional charge.
Sample Itinerary: Sunday arrival - dinner & ranch orientation Monday horse orientation then trail ride back to the ranch for lunch and another trail ride for the afternoon. You get the same horse for the week, so you can gain confidence. Evening of playing volleyball and a welcome nights rest. Tuesday Morning horseback riding back to the ranch for lunch then a choice of a guided hike to remote mountain water falls or join in another trail ride for the afternoon. Back to the ranch for dinner and evening around the campfire. Wednesday Morning breakfast ride back or breakfast hike or jump in the van to the breakfast - back to the ranch for lunch and then either join in another trial ride or spend your afternoon floating the St. Mary's river. Evening or reining horse demo by Beckley reining horses and Jeff & Jesse Beckley Thursday rise and shine to another great ranch breakfast and off to the corrals to meet your horse for another riding adventure. Back to the ranch for lunch and choose between a raft trip or another afternoon with your horse. Friday morning or horse adventures awaits you exploring another of three bars ranch endless trails. Back to the ranch for lunch and then off to for trap and sheet or join in the fun with your horse for another horseback ride. Tonight is ranch Casino where the dealers are your ranch wranglers and you play with three bars money. Always a fun evening for players of all ages. Saturday morning Back to reality and good -by for another year!
Rafting During July and August we spend one afternoon per week floating the St. Mary's River. While this is not a white water trip it's a great way to see the countryside from a unique river perspective, with great wildlife viewing opportunities. --- Rafting included in high season only
Hiking For those who want to join a guided hike and a chance to get your heart rate up a bit, come along on our once-weekly hike to Perry Creek Falls, in the Purcell Mountains. This hike is a bush trail with some steep grades—the destination, a beautiful natural waterfall. We have mapped and marked hiking trails for those who like to get out on their own.

GolfGolfers delight at the diversity and depth of golf courses within 20 minutes drive from the ranch. Kimberley is home to Trickle Creek, Kimberley and Bootleg gap. Cranbrook houses the Cranbrook City course, St. Eugene, Mission hills and Waylynn courses. Tyler often puts together a golf group one afternoon from the ranch for those who would like to play around of golf yet don't have anyone else in their family or group who wish to join them. All area courses have club rentals and cart rentals available. If you would like more detailed information on the local courses do drop us an email and we're happy to get a 20 page golfers guide mailed out to you .
The ranch is open for the warmest part of the year, from May to September.

The area in the southeast portion of British Columbia, where Cranbrrok is located, is known for its contrasts in climate. While the winters can be very cold, the summers are warm and semi-arid, with an average temperature of 26°C (79°F) in July.

The length of the day in the Rockies varies greatly throughout the year. Daylight can last as little as eight hours in December. At the end of June, the sun rises at 5:30 am and sets at 10:00 pm
A long-sleeved shirt and jeans are good for riding in, and some people like to wear tights underneath to decrease the chance of chafing. For hiking, lightweight, waterproof hiking shoes or boots and walking shorts are suggests. Bike or riding helmets are strongly recommended for children who will be riding. - riding boot rentals are available on request for extra charge- inquire to Hidden Trails if needed. - if you will be fly fishing - bring your fishing gear.
