Explore the vast
areas of the John Muir Wilderness and Yosemite park
throughout the summer. This is the largest
wilderness in California, located in prime central
Sierra Nevada. It is characterized by snow-capped
mountains, hundreds of alpine lakes and streams.
Elevations range from 4,000 feet to more than 14,000
feet. Trips start and end at Rock Creek, Sage Flats
or June Lake. Choose from several trips during the
summer with various lengths. From short circle trips
around Bishop or Mammoth, to week long rides into
Pine Creek, Red’s Meadow, McGee Creek, Sage Flat,
Lone Pine, or Purple Lake. Most rides start at
7:30 AM on day one and end around 4 PM on the last
day. You should make arrangements for an extra
overnight before the trip. |
All trips include: meals, overnight
in tents, horse and tack, guide and cook.
Trips start in, Bishop, Sage Flats, Mammoth
or Rock Creek, CA.
