Mountain Inn to Inn Ride

This
beautiful 6-day trip will take you to 4 Historic Inns with award-winning cuisine, through
the beautiful countryside of Vermont. The first night youll spend in an 1828 New
England inn with queen canopy beds and heirloom quilts. The next morning youll
saddle up and ride to the tiny hamlet of Tyson.
The inn is an authentic historical inn, having hosted many dignitaries such as Presidents
Coolidge and McKinley, Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone and Henry Ford.
The next day after
a hearty breakfast you are off again, passing centuries-old stone fences.
Following
single-tract trails of the woods of Cavendish to the Crown Point road, built by a British
general in 1759, to the
18th century inn at Weathersfield, where the innkeepers are both
musicians of some repute and gourmet cooks as well.
The following day you ride across the Black River to climb up the side of Mt. Ascutney to
Windsor for the night at the National Historic Register mansion, one of The Best
Places to Kiss in New England.
On Thursday you ride along tranquil farmlands, wooded hillside trails, country roads and
stone fences.
