Hungary's well known tradition of horses and horsemanship is reflected in
these rides which are an excellent choice for experienced riders who
enjoy fast riding on top quality Kisbér horses. The Kisbér horse is one
of the oldest of the European breeds with a rich heritage of service to
mankind and they are often referred to as "The Heavenly Horses" for
their tremendous willingness and heart. With hardly a single fence or
man-made obstacle to cross on the way, the going on all rides is
excellent.
he ‘Ipoly Valley Ride’ in northern Hungary takes you near the
Slovak border and ventures along the Ipoly river into the Borzsony
Hills and Ipoly National Park. The ride offers tradition, nature and
culture.

Day 1 Meeting in Budapest and group transfer (approx. 1 hr.) to
the stud farm of our partner. During the stud inspection you get a first
impression of the noble Kisbčr horses. János Lóska breeds the “Hungarian
jewels” since 1978. In the next days you can experience yourselves the
numerous qualities of these versatile and reliable riding horses. Dinner
and overnight accommodations are at the farm.
Day 2 On today’s day ride you can get acquainted with “your
horse”. Discover the varied environment with wonderful forests, meadows
and fields. At noon there is a picnic along the way. In the afternoon we
take you on a tour through the atmospheric, hilly countryside to the
nicely established „Lazar Park”. This enterprise has been established by
the horse-driving world champion Lázár brothers, combines the atmosphere
of the Hungarian villages with the flavour of a horse farm of European
standards and outstanding Hungarian hospitality.
Dinner and overnight accommodations are at the farm.
Day 3 Today we ride through forests, across open meadows and into
the mountains until we reach Garáb. From here it is just a short
distance to Hollókö, the jewel of the Cserhát-Mountains. Its traditional
architecture of the “Palazos” convinced the UNESCO to declare it as a
World Heritage place. Sightseeing is followed with a wild game dinner in
Garáb. Overnight.
Day 4 We ride to Szécsény, which is an idyllic village in the
valley of the Ipoly river. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 We ride along the Ipoly Nature Park to Balassagyarmat. Nice
trails along the river offer many opportunities for long canters and
gallops. WE then transfer to Bank, situated at a picturesque lake.
Dinner and overnight.
Day 6 Today’s ride to Magyarnándor is only interrupted by a nice
sumptuous picnic along the way. Overnight in Debercsény.
Day 7 After breakfast transfer to Budapest.
