Cyprus is an
island of great beauty and endless variety. Golden
beaches and rugged coastline are contrasted by the
impressive backdrop of unusual mountain ranges.
Greek temples, Roman, remains, Byzantine churches
and Crusader castles, inspire fascinating
excursions. The religion of Cyprus in antiquity was
that of ancient Greece. Most of the Olympian Gods
were worshiped but the most important cult was
undisputable that of Aphrodite, the Cypriote
Goddess, par excellence, the guardian goddess of
Cyprus, as she is referred to by Homer. Get to
know the ‘real’ Cypress - far away from
civilization. Instead of cars we meet herds of
sheep and goats and pure nature. Your accommodations
are in nice vacation apartments with terrace.
Reliable and sure-footed horses will take you on
daily rides into the diverse landscape of
southern Cypress - across country, through
fields, forests and over mountain crests.
