The French Castles
These trips show you France's most beautiful and best known side: You will
ride through beautiful landscapes with little asphalt roads, much
culture, impressive architecture, good food - both during picnic lunches
and in well chosen guesthouses. You will stay overnight in typical,
comfortable hotels and inns, and even in private castles. In addition to
our longstanding tour "Castles of the Loire", we now offer the tour of
the Perigord Castles. You will often have the
opportunity of tasting good wines in some of the famous cellars. You
will also be satisfied with the accommodations and the food. This is
another riding tour for lovers of French culture. On the trip of the
Castles of Perigord you will visit some of the 1200 (!) castles that are
comprised only in the area Lot & Dordogne. The "Perigord Noir", the
black Perigord, got its name from the spacious, dark oak forests.
Everybody would like to build a castle between the lovely rivers
Dordogne and Végère. This is France out of the picture book. In addition
you will get to know the cuisine of the region with its goose liver paté,
cheese of Rocamadour and, of course, the wines of the Cahors.
